02 · How to read it

Threat record

Universal Threat is a danger rating, not a species. The label means the threat could endanger whole civilizations, whether it is a creature, an army, a cosmic wound, or something stranger.

03 · Why it matters

Place in the larger story

The danger is not limited to an enemy fleet that can be defeated. A wound in reality can keep changing the battlefield even when no army is present.
