What is it made of?
A Mnemonic Abyssal cannot be explained by ordinary anatomy alone. In the Vastus, memory can have real weight and effects, so part of the Beast may be encountered through remembered experience as well as physical mass.

Contact can put memory and identity in danger alongside ships and bodies. Witnesses may remember things they never lived, lose facts they once knew, or disagree because the record itself has been changed.
