Constellation Ancients tells you how far the Beast can reach.
The nine recognized orders answer a different question. This class tells you the Beast's scale. Its order tells you what kind of Great Beast it is.
How to read the class
Scale tells you reach, not species.
Different civilizations can see different parts of the same Constellation Ancient from places far apart. Ordinary distance is no longer enough to map the whole body.
What contact changes
Several civilizations may discover that events separated by enormous distance are all movements, wounds, or signs of one living being.
Class and order answer different questions.
Class answers “how far can it reach?” Order answers “what kind of Beast is it?” The Codex keeps both labels so size never has to stand in for identity.
