Great Beast Codex · Scale class 03

System Titans

A Beast whose movement can affect an entire star system.

Whole-system reach

Two separate labels · Size and kind

System Titans tells you how far the Beast can reach.

The nine recognized orders answer a different question. This class tells you the Beast's scale. Its order tells you what kind of Great Beast it is.

How to read the class

Scale tells you reach, not species.

A System Titan can place several planets, moons, stations, and major routes inside the same event. At this scale, the Beast is almost an environmental condition as well as a living creature.

01 · Existence

How the body works

One continuous physical body may not explain the whole creature. A visible part can occupy normal space while other parts extend through cosmic currents, the Veil, or ancient paths.

02 · Effect

What contact changes

A passing Titan can turn defense, evacuation, trade, navigation, and planetary survival into one shared emergency.

03 · Two labels

Class and order answer different questions.

Class answers “how far can it reach?” Order answers “what kind of Beast is it?” The Codex keeps both labels so size never has to stand in for identity.

The four scale classes

Compare the four sizes.

Kind, not size

Knowing how large it is still does not tell you what kind of Beast you have met.
